Auto-Scoring Requested Data for True/False or Number

Auto-scoring will allow you to automatically score Mandatory or Pricing criteria based on a vendors' responses into True/False or Number Data Fields.

To setup the appropriate Requested Data Fields navigate to the Requested Information section and click on the Manage button as pictured below:

In this example we are going to add a True/False and also a Number Requested Data Field:

  1. click the add Requested Data button (we're going to add 2 here)
  2. dropdown the Option to True/False (and Number for the 2nd Requested Data which we'll call Price)

So now we've created 2 Requested Data fields.

The first one we ask the Vendor if they have insurance over $1M which they must answer either True or False.

The second Requested Data field we ask the Vendor to enter their Price as a numeric value. 

Mapping the Criteria

Now we are going to map the Criteria to the Requested Data (True/False and Number) to allow us to Auto-score that Criteria.

Under the Criteria section we will click on the Manage button:

The 1st created Criteria above we are mapping it to the Data Field "Has insurance over $1M" (NOTE how this is Auto-scored by True/False Requested Data). This field is the True/False Data Field we defined in the previous step under the Requested Information. Essentially this Criteria is being scored based on the answer for the True/False Requested Data. If the vendor answers with True, the Mandatory Criteria will be marked as Pass, and vice versa.


The 2nd Criteria we are creating above we are mapping it to the Data Field "Price" which was setup as a Number Data Field. For simplicity we have assigned the Cost Criteria a point value of 100.

So this is what our Criteria looks like after it's mapped:


Now that the Criteria has been mapped, let's take a look at how Auto-scoring works by looking at 2 sample submissions. We'll call these Vendor #1 and Vendor #2

Vendor #1 answers as follows:


Vendor #2 answers as follows (note how they have answered false for the T/F question): 

Once the applicable Evaluation Groups have been released the auto-scoring will automatically occur. You can now view the scoring under the Scoring Summary section:

Note the purple colouring for the score indicating that the criteria has been auto scored. 

So that's how we setup Auto-Scoring for Requested Data fields using the True/False or Number option!
