Cannot access Bonfire from Lotus Notes

Bonfire supports the following browsers:

  • Internet Explorer 8 / 9 / 10 / 11 (Windows)
  • Google Chrome (Windows & Mac)
  • Mozilla Firefox (Windows & Mac)

Lotus Notes however has a embedded-in browser that cannot be supported (it effectively is IE7, or more precisely IE9 in Compatibility Mode). 

When you receive emails in Lotus Notes they may try to open with the embedded browser which will cause you to see a screen that has a warning image similar to the one below

What you'll need to do is change Lotus Notes to use the Default Browser for your Operating System. This can be achieved in 2-ways (depending on your version of Lotus Notes) as mentioned in the video below.
