How turn off Compatibility Mode in Internet Explorer

If you're having trouble re-setting your password, creating a new login, or the Bonfire page generally looks 'broken', chances are you're running Internet Explorer in Compatibility Mode.

Compatibility Mode is a special mode in Internet Explorer that forces the browser to behave as an old, outdated browser. This mode is required for a very small number of websites on the internet today. For the vast majority of websites, Compatibility Mode does more harm than good.

The good news is that Compatibility Mode is really easy to turn off.

Step 1:  Simply look at your address bar, and look for the icon that looks like a broken page as shown below

Step 2: Click on the icon to disable Compatibility Mode.

As soon as Compatibility Mode is disabled Bonfire will go back to behaving as expected.
